Capital idea, I say!

When I visited Ireland in 2003 (or was it 2001...anyway...) we went on a trip all the way around the country, starting in Dublin and going clockwise - mostly around the perimeter. I'm not sure what county we were in (I'd have to go back to my photo album to check) but one place was a castle where we had a little "days of yore" type feast and they did a reading, or renactment of some kind. It was on a MUCH smaller scale than what you detail, but I just wanted to say, it's out there and the market seems RIPE for a place like you describe.

What a fun trip! How about if there were national clubs (as there are for many tour companies) with information to prepare YOU, the tourist, to play a role upon your arrival? Like a couple weeks a year it would be a murder/mystery place? Ooo that could be a fun twist! Or the whole village could prepare for your arrival and you could get married there! ALL kinds of fun and lucrative possibilities :)
