Romance Writers of America members: online voting is now open for the annual elections. Your vote is needed, and it takes 3 minutes. Check out the candidates and Q&A sessions on the RWA national website. PRO members get to vote on PRO liaison. PAN members, well, there’s only one person running. It’s disturbing how many positions are uncontested. Only one person wants to be president? Really? I know it’s a lot of work, but come on. It’s president! (No, I’m not running, but I might at some future date.)

I predict more people will vote this year given the buzz over epublishing. Our votes matter, whether you’re an aspiring author, book seller, librarian, epub’d or traditional published author. Let’s get out the vote!

RWA National Conference is next week! I fly to San Fran Monday, arriving at 5:42PM, and am staying at the San Fran Marriott where the Conference is taking place. I’m bringing a flipcam, camera, and, of course, my iPhone to be the biggest dork in attendance capture the memories for all time. If you can’t make it this year, there are quite a few of us capturing the events for your viewing pleasure.

   ACHERON pre-release party. Apparently both Sherri and the Dark-Hunters will be there. (WHAT? I get to stalk Acheron in real life? Woah nelly.) My favorite part: costume contest for Best Simi, Best Dark-Hunter and Best Show of Dark-Hunter spirit. Also: cake, prizes, dancing and music.
2. Smart Bitch Happy Hour: 3:30 pm Friday at the Thirsty Bear bar, 661 Howard Street, SF, CA. Please let SB Sarah know if you plan to attend.
